DAIRY-FREE / GLUTEN-FREE / QUICK DISH

This fresh, delicious and pretty dish of shrimp and tofu can be prepared in less than 10 minutes from scratch. Great as a quick snack for the while family or easy entry for dinner parties at home.
STEAMED SHRIMP AND SILKY TOFU

DAIRY-FREE / GLUTEN-FREE / QUICK DISH

Ingredients
- 200g silky or soft tofu
- 15 frozen raw shrimp (devined)
- 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
- a handful of frozen peas
- For the sauce (dip or pour over), mix 2 tsp each of sesame oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar
Method
- Cut the tofu into 15 pieces of roughly equal size and arrange them on a place. Make sure the plate fits your steamer.
- Place one shrimp on each tofu piece. Sprinkle the peas and ginger over.
- Steam the plate over boiling water ( with lid on) for 3 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked ( turn pink and white).
p.s. I think this dish will look amazing if steamed in tasting spoons and served at dinner parties. Has anyone tried something like that before?
